Neutrogena Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Human Resources Manager for its manufacturing plant located in Los Angeles, CA.
Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The product line includes bar and liquid cleansers, shampoo, hand cream, body lotion, facial moisturizers, sun protection and cosmetics, as well as other hair and skin care products recommended, used and prescribed by dermatologists.
The Plant Human Resources Manager will have direct responsibility for providing senior level HR support and partnership for to the Los Angeles Plant (LAP) Leadership Team. This position will have direct accountability for the LAP Training organization, and will provide local HR support for partnering supply chain organizations (Quality, Planning and Procurement). Key responsibilities include: he/she will align HR objectives with the site's strategic objectives and consult with the leadership team in areas such as leadership development, change management, performance consulting, strategic business planning, diversity management, conflict management, recruiting and any areas requiring human resources expertise. He/she will design and implement the overall Human Resource strategy and solutions in support of short term and long term business goals and department objectives as well as partner with Specialists Groups to ensure coordination of HR strategies and processes across the organization. The Senior Human Resources Manager will drive the implementation of organizations and cultures that drive innovation and employee engagement. Additionally, he/she will partner with line leaders to grow diverse leadership, talent and technical capability pipelines of the business. He/she will also support the implementation of structures and strategies to improve individual and organizational performance. He/she will provide group and one-on-one coaching with managers and employees to support leadership development, business decision making, human resources management, problem solving and performance management. Implement effective strategies to enable the organization to thrive through periods of change (e.g. internal growth, restructurings, etc.). The Senior Human Resources Manager will also support local implementation of appropriate HR solutions aligned with business direction as well as provide guidance with employee communication initiatives within customer groups. He/she will provide advice on performance related issues in collaboration with the Employee Relations Resource Group (ERRG). He/she will comply with company policies, procedures, and quality standards as well as safety and environmental regulations. He/she will educate supervisors and managers; monitor management actions and decisions to maintain legal and company policy compliance and values. He/she will respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree is required with a major in Human Resources preferred as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree or Masters Degree related to Human Resources preferred. A minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experiences are required. Organization Development, Change Management, Talent Management, Performance Management, Leadership Development and Business Based Human Resources experiences are required. Additionally, he/she must have business acumen to understand strategic issues impacting the site. Experience and demonstrated skills in navigating in a matrix environment, managing complexity, collaborating across boundaries and influencing without authority are required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple, concurrent priorities - many needing immediate resolution is required. Strong organizational consulting skills and strong analytical skills required. Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, self-awareness and adaptability required. Flexibility to work other shifts as needed is required. Manufacturing experience is preferred along with strategic planning, workforce planning, compensation and benefits experience strongly preferred. Practical experience leading change and increasing organizational effectiveness within dynamic organizations is also preferred. Demonstrated understanding of CA labor law is preferred. Approximately 15% domestic travel is required. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
