The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing area level customer relationships with cardiovascular line directors and hospital executives. The primary objective of this role is to deliver value based solutions and deeper partnerships as an outcome. This position will engage relevant C-Suite executives with resources that will lead to continuous investment in their EP programs and engage the C-suite in market growth discussions. The Strategic Account Manager will lead the Area capital selling process and manage local contract needs. This position will lead the execution of compliant local pricing, facility contracting negotiations and local area capital equipment sales/contracting expert. The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for local contracting skills training for the Territory Managers and must understand hospital administration, BWI and J&J T&Cs and capital options. This role will also interface with 3rd party distributors. The Strategic Account Manager role will primarily focus their time as follows: Executive Level Partnership and Cardiovascular Program Expansion discussions, Capital Equipment Selling, and US Commercial Contracting and Pricing negotiations. They will have direct accountability to the BWI Corporate Account Director for Contracting and Pricing negotiations.

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position is responsible for the following: Expert sales and contract negotiation- Negotiating compliant contracts and maximize the selling opportunities by using the Pricing Tool, Scenario Planning Tool, Variance Reporting Tools and managing to the pricing matrix. Includes but is not limited to training/enabling the field to use financial budgeting reports to improve contract cycle times. They will be responsible for establishing contract review process to manage accounts to committed compliance levels, managing local area contract expiration and local customer contract performance requirements, and supporting customer negotiations in local area facilities. Negotiate, review and revise contracts and account selling strategies. The Strategic Account Manager is also responsible for developing C-Suite Relationships and deliver value based solutions, working with the local sales staff to develop, maintain and implement account planning strategies with the intended outcome being increased sales revenue and market share. Value based solutions are Market Development, Supply Chain education, reimbursement and the implementation of reprocessing strategies as defined by the company. The Strategic Account Manager will be a Capital Equipment Sales Expert, and will support local area capital equipment sales efforts in targeted accounts, manage the Area capital funnel and meet/exceed Area sales targets, and utilize strong C-Suite relationships to demonstrate/negotiate capital equipment contract offers. They will be an expert in capital equipment offerings and promotions, and will conduct sales analysis and calculators in an effort to maximize the selling opportunity and expedite closing the contract. The Strategic Account Manager will support the local field sales teams by being an expert in offer/promotion guidelines, and be responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures. They will perform other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications


To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess a minimum of a BA/BS, combined with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience. Experience in the Medical Device market including Territory Sales is preferred. Prior Medical Device Sales Management is preferred. Excellent influence management skills are required. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills, ability to problem solve and develop contracting/account/negotiation strategies that align with company selling objectives in a compliant manner are required, as well as an ability to train and educate the local area Field Sales Organization in compliant contracting and strategic planning/selling. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legal language in contracts, including identifying and mitigating risk/exposure points, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently is required. The ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex and deadline driven environment is required. Preference will be given to individuals living within the area. Ability to travel up to 60% is required. Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
