Janssen Biotech, Inc., is recruiting for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Internship located in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

The Malvern site is a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) intern will: Gain a variety of environmental, health, and safety related experiences in both the Manufacturing and Research and Development environment. Support EHS functions by performing routine tasks associated with the compliance of federal, state and local laws and regulation related to environmental, health and safety as well as Johnson & Johnson EHS guideline. Assist with updating and creating EHS programs, EHS Training, as well as collection of environmental and safety data. Assist with regulatory audits, J&J assessments, the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), environmental waste reduction projects, and site environmental health and safety committees.

Qualifications


Enrolled (not necessarily taking classes) at an accredited college/university and pursuing at least a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science is required. Students pursuing Environmental Science or Health and Safety is preferred. Interest in gaining experience in a manufacturing environment, biopharmaceutical, or pharmaceutical industry is required. Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during this Summer (May/June - August) Internship is required. Completed of at least freshman year of undergraduate school is required. A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership and/or participation in campus/community service activities are desired. Working knowledge of computer skills and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Schedule Pro is preferred.

Internships are located in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Students must be able to provide their own transportation to this location. A stipend will be offered to students that meet the commuting distance eligibility requirements. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
