Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- PhD in Plant Pathology, Plant Virology or a related field of study.
- 7 or more years of virology or relevant plant focused research with knowledge of host-disease interactions, cell biology, and molecular biology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence in communicating with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve results.
- Self-motivation, strong results orientation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience with applying RNA interference to pest or pathogen control.
- Experience leading discovery research teams in a matrixed environment.
