Position Description: Provides application development and support services for COTS packages and/or Ryder developed applications.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or requisite years of experience in the specific language or system as specified in the additional requirements for this position.

Additional Requirements: 3+ years experience in J2EE, Java, Java Server Pages (JSP), JavaScript, Servlets, Java Beans,
HTML, XML, SQL, JDBC, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Object-Oriented.
4+ years experience in IT field.

Analysis and Design (OOAD), Database Design.
Working knowledge of Linux environment.

Working knowledge of Windows environment.
Experience in producing technical documentation.

Must work well with team members, be tactful with customers, exhibit outstanding follow-through abilities,
and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate must exhibit strong leadership qualities
in the technical field -capable of providing technical direction for individual projects, as well as, for enterprise
solutions.
Knowledge of Enterprise Java Beans, Oracle DBMS, JMS, Eclipse IDE, SQL, Subversion, Web Services, Linux Administration

Responsibilities:

  • Perform build (code and configuration), test (QA) and implementation tasks as required to meet business requirements, requests.
  • Develop technical and business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Participate in support and upgrades as needed.
  • Work with end-users to trouble shoot application issues or problems and recommend sound business solutions.
  • Participate with other IT members, customers, and other stakeholders in new product reviews, tests and pilots.
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with customer and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
  • Share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery or satisfactory application development and/or support.
