Position Description: Responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions for current and future operations. Provides coaching/mentorship to other engineers. Provides regular and proactive communications to customers and Ryder Management.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
Minimum of six years of related experience is required. Additional Requirements:
MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred.
Experience working in a Distribution Center and/or Transportation Environment required.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in:
MS Office
MS Project and/or Visio
Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems (TMS and WMS) and Network analysis tools
Statistical and/or Transportation Analysis Tools (Minitab, SAS, Metlab, i2, Tmod, ILPS)
Mapping analysis tools and/or Simulation, preferred Responsibilities:
Collects data and performs statistical analysis
Maps and documents processes
Independently identifies process gaps; recommends and implements process improvement
Applies company methodologies and tools to design distribution and/or transportation operations
Establishes and implements performance measures
Conducts Inventory and/or Supply Chain analyses and recommends alternative strategies
Actively supports the sales process and creates high quality solutions and designs
Effectively interacts with customers, Sales, and Operations to create value propositions
Confers with the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions
Manages multiple projects of small and medium size
Leads, coaches, and mentors other engineers
