The Supplier Quality Manager in Raynham has primary responsibility to provide Supplier Quality Assurance expertise, direction and guidance to the Codman Supplier Quality Group. This position provides supplier quality support in Raynham in line with established corporate and regulatory standards. In addition this position has responsibility to provide supplier management support for Codman in Juarez, Mexico, San Jose, CA and Miramar, FL. Plan, develop and monitor QA systems to ensure that the company meets its quality objectives with regard to supplier controls. The Supplier Quality Manager will have responsibility for implementation of External Manufacturing Quality Systems to support outsourcing of products. He/she will ensure Quality, Operational, Process Improvement and Product Development/Transfer issues and projects are implemented in an efficient and effective manner. He/she will minimize risk and assure equivalent Quality levels are maintained.
The Supplier Quality Manager will recruit, develop and manage the Codman supplier quality team to ensure a high performing team to achieve the group's objectives. He/she will provide Quality Engineering support to suppliers including inspection technique support, product non-conformances, verification/validation activities, CAPA and change management. This individual will conduct audits to good manufacturing practices, international organization for standardization and any other applicable standards. He/she will ensure effective and timely investigation and closure of all CAPA's, Supplier Non Conformances, complaints, product issues. The Supplier Quality Manager will report on contract manufacturer performance metrics in management reviews. He/she will handle complex technical issues for manufacturing processes that are to be transferred to satellite facilities. This individual supports third party assessments at both DePuy and suppliers. He/she will conduct internal audits within the DePuy organization. Provide Quality Leadership in support of External Manufacturing Outsourcing programs. The Supplier Quality Manager will manage the supplier audit schedule for the Codman supplier base. He/she will drive a standardised approach by leading the Supplier Management Committee meetings. This individual will maintain and control the list of approved suppliers for Codman. He/she will maintain and control company SOPs in support of initial supplier approval and continuous supplier evaluation. This individual will maintain supplier management documentation and records to ensure they are complete and current. The Supplier Quality Manager will promote continuous improvement and Process Excellence activities within the DePuy WW Supplier Quality Management group. He/she will work to ensure supplier engineering resources are prioritised in support of business and quality aims. He/she will actively drive all defined External Manufacturing Quality Systems goals and objectives. The Supplier Quality Manager will ensure suppliers continue to meet DePuy Quality requirements with regard to SEP-619 compliance. This individual will design and validate Quality System processes where appropriate. He/she will participate in design evaluations where appropriate. He/she will resolve problems & eliminate constraints to ensure project and supply targets are met. The Supplier Quality Manager will generate Quality metrics on supplier performance and establish measures to monitor quality. He/she will maintain standards of housekeeping & GMP requirements. This individual will represent the Supply Process Quality Assurance function as required by management. He/she will ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled. This individual will maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering/scientific or associated relevant technical / engineering discipline is required. An Advanced degree in engineering/scientific or discipline is preferred. A minimum of 8 years progressive experience in a regulated industry is required. A minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial capacity is required. Previous work experience with Suppliers is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of business impact of compliance issues and risk management is required. Experience in leadership roles involving project management, problem solving and technical projects is required. This individual is required to possess high performing skills in negotiating and influencing decision makers, decision making skills, leadership skills, communication skills, judgement, tact and leadership skills.
This position is located in Raynham, MA and will require up to 30% travel, including some international.
