The schedule for this position will be Sunday-Thursday nights 10:00PM-6:30AM - 3rd shift.

DePuy, Inc., a member of Johnson and Johnson's family of companies, is currently recruiting for a Machine Operator II, located in Raynham, MA.

DePuy, Inc. develops and markets products under the DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., DePuy Spine, Codman & Shurtleff, Inc., and DePuy Mitek divisions. DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc., provides products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints, and for repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries; DePuy Spine develops, manufactures and markets innovative solutions for a wide range of spinal pathologies and recently introduced Charite, the first artificial spinal disc. Codman & Shurtleff, Inc., provides products for the surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders through products such as hydrocephalic shunt valve systems, implantable drug pumps and micro-surgical instrumentation. DePuy Mitek offers innovative devices in sports medicine for the treatment of soft tissue injuries.

The Machine Operator II will be responsible for operating machinery to produce parts, tools and equipment using sketches, prints or instruction manuals. This individual will be accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines. Assist with set up and operation of machinery to produce parts, tools and equipment. Modify parts based on quality inspection results to assure conformance to requirements. Clean machines as necessary and assist with basic maintenance. Correct basic manufacturing problems as directed. Request supplies for assigned equipment and maintains calibration records. Notify supervisor when machinery needs maintenance or repairs. Review and implement all quality and safety requirements.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

A minimum of a High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required. A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a machine shop or production line environment, machining precise finished products required. Experience working in a Medical Device manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or other regulated environment preferred. Experience working in an environment that has gone through Lean process changes preferred. Basic mechanical skills required. Machine/tool set-up experience required. General tooling experience preferred. Experience with CNC milling/grinding machines required. Experience with Electrical Discharge Machines (EDMs) preferred. Experience with routine machine inspection preferred. Basic computer skills required. Experience collaborating in a team environment required. The ability to read blueprints is required. Basic math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and work with decimals required. Ability to work with metric and standard measurements required. Must have the ability to perform and record measurements with calipers, drop indicators, micrometers and gauges. The ability to stand and/or walk more than 80% of the time is required. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unaided is required.
