  • MMA FlexChoice Program: An internal staffing agency that provides Medical Assistants to all MMA physician practices on an as needed basis. Pay Rate: $13.00 / hour.

    Position Description: Provides medical assistance under the direction of licensed personnel. Coordinates clinic patient flow, patient work-ups, exam room prep, and performs basic patient care activities. Ensures quality and continuity of care by communicating patient care information to the appropriate parties.

    Requirements

    Experience: Must know how to take patient vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temp). Prefer at least 1 year experience in a physician practice setting with EKG training. Completion of a MA program through an accredited school is a plus.

    Travel Requirements: Employees of the program must have a valid Driver’s License, as travel to MMA Practices throughout the WNC region is expected. Travel outside of Buncombe County will be reimbursed at our standard mileage rate of .55 cents per mile.

    Retention: Employees of the FlexChoice program must remain in their position for at least 6 months before transferring to another position within Mission Health System.

    Scheduling: Employees of the FlexChoice program must provide their availability to work every month. Schedules due the 15th of every month indicating the next month’s availability.
