Job Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during and after surgical intervention in a variety of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and some ENT and eye procedures. 

Preferred Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Minimum Education Required:  Current CNA certification and listing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry. 

Required License: Surgical Technician certification (Exceptions may be made at the Unit Director's discretion based on work experience), current BCLS certification.

Required Experience: Surgical technician-clinical experience and one year experience in a Surgical Technician role in an operating room setting.
