WWETO is a global organization with regional presence and deployment. The project management function is leading the definition, the design and the execution of all major capital construction projects across J&J. Today WWETO has groups in the US, Belgium, China, India and Singapore. One of our key objectives is to support the growth of J&J business in the emerging markets in Asia.

The Senior Manager, Project Management APAC will be responsible for developing, leading and delivering on regional business objectives deploying defined best practices and processes developed by the Worldwide Engineering and Technical Operations (WWETO) organization. This individual will serve as the key contact for Worldwide Engineering team and the local business leaders. This individual will require a high degree of business acumen and understanding. This position will have the responsibility for prioritizing and delivering successful projects on behalf of the local business.

He/She will provide a clear vision, mission, scope and process for the local team to help in delivering successful projects by utilizing the right mix of technical and management skills. This individual will also have a proven track record of performance that demonstrates strong leadership and ability to lead and deliver various cross-functional projects. Demonstrate an ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure a high-level of team involvement in key business discussions, as well as lead, consult and mentor the local team to achieve flawless execution of all projects and activities required to drive success for the business partners. Be proactive in providing fact based insights to address strategic business needs, help in developing and implementing innovation in project management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead the planning and implementation of respective regional projects
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Develop full scale project plans
- Assemble and coordinate project staff
- Manage project budget and project resource allocation
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Provide direction and support to project team
- Quality assurance
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
- Project evaluations and assessment of result
- Maintain communication with other WWETO groups such as Engineering and Design to ensure compliance with current J&J policies, standards and guidelines.
- Maintain communication with other key groups such as Real Estate, Procurement and ITS as required for the project.

Qualifications


REQUIRED:

- Degree in Engineering with 10+ years business experience or an MS/MBA with 7 years business experience
- A PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
- Must have a proven track record of managing in a matrix environment where a high degree of collaboration is needed
- Must have the ability to work with cross-functional teams, sometimes requiring managing and leading without authority as needed
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills required.
- Strong project management skills required.
- Ability to speak multiple languages in the region will be a plus

LOCATION

This position is preferably based in Singapore or Shanghai; other APAC locations may also be considered.

No relocation support will be provided. The role holder will be expected to be based in their current country of residence (within APAC)
