The Manager, Political Compliance will work with the Director of Political Programs, external vendors and outside counsel to manage political contribution process efficiently and ensure 100% compliance with state and federal laws and reporting requirements.
The Manager will manage all matters related to Pay to Play laws. Coordinate with J&J business units on pay to play reports and requirements. Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure pay to play reports include all information as required by the state or county. Manage one remote direct report, a part-time compliance coordinator. Update company political compliance webpage every six months and coordinate with the Corporate Secretary regarding institutional shareholder requests.
Manage JJPAC and Corporate Political bank accounts including all bank and J&J Finance Department requirements. Manage process to ensure timely and accurate submission of the numerous reports each quarter. Manage process to ensure J&J HR / IT systems work properly and are updated in an efficient manner to ensure accuracy of all reports. Manage all matters brought forward by the FEC and state agencies with J&J legal counsel. Interact with state agencies and FEC or work with legal counsel to ensure appropriate interaction, when necessary.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required. A JD or advanced degrees are preferred. A minimum of eight (8) years of related campaign finance experience is required. Familiarity with lobbying compliance laws is required. Familiarity with Political Compliance Software is required. Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. The ability to partner with people at all levels of the organization including Senior Executives is required. Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are required. The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required. The individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
