Position Overview
Janssen Inc. is looking to fill a Medical Information Associate - 10 month contract in our Medical Information department. The position will be based in Toronto, Ontario
Responsibilities:
Respond to medical/ scientific queries from healthcare professionals, consumers and internal business partners
Prepare and maintain up-to-date medical information responses
Report adverse events and product complaints on Janssen marketed products to Drug Safety & Surveillance and Product Complaints departments according to procedures and timelines established in SOPs
Collaborate with internal business partners on the development, review and approval, and implementation of promotional materials, medical marketing, and continuing health education projects
Actively participate in and contribute to cross-functional strategic business teams (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Access)
Contribute to therapeutic area and product training for internal personnel
Establish and maintain expertise in hematology and oncology

Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences
Advanced graduate degree a strong asset (MSc, PhD, PharmD)
Hematology/oncology therapeutic area expertise
Experience in a pharmaceutical industry medical information function, or, experience in a drug information /pharmaceutical care centre hospital setting
Ability to research, interpret and translate complex scientific information into professional communications to external healthcare professionals and internal business partners
Superior attention to detail
Strong communication (verbal, written), presentation, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team settings
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, XML, Sharepoint, Databases)
