Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director, Global Change, Release & Configuration Management. This position is located in Raritan, NJ.
The Global Change, Release and Configuration Management Director position is a senior leader role within the Global Shared Services organization of Johnson & Johnson. This role is responsible for leading Global Change, Release and Configuration Management (CMDB) processes, including effective governance and execution.
This positioning directs a diverse and global organization, driving compliance to global processes to ensure production environment is stable, secure and demonstrates control.
Change Management responsibilities will include; Determines the IT strategic direction for IT Management globally and enterprise wide. Leads the effort to build the IT centralized repository for all IT changes to production. Determines the strategy for the IT Change Advisory Board and the different levels of CAB's throughout the IT organization in support of the IT CAB. Develops and Presents the IT Change Management Process Dashboards to IT and ITSS management. Determines the strategy to build the IT Forward Schedule of Changes (FSC). Establishes and Leads the virtual IT Change Management Organization with the IT change managers in the sectors to discuss process adherence topics and process improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance requirements are captured, built in and maintained to avoid audit findings. People management and people development for the Change Process Manager and team.
Release Management responsibilities will include; Determines the IT strategic direction for IT Release & Deployment Management globally and enterprise wide. Determines the strategy for building the IT Release Calendar in working closely with the IT release managers in the different sectors as releases across IT will be captured in different systems and data will need to be captured to build the centralized view on all releases. Leads the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for release management tools for IT to ensure the process requirements of release management are build in. Alignment with SDLC in defining the strategy for Release & Deployment Management to ensure SDLC will always support the requirements for Release & Deployment. Establishes and Leads the virtual IT Release & Deployment Organization with the IT release managers in the sectors to discuss process adherence topics and process improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance requirements are captured, built in and maintained to avoid audit findings. People management and people development for the Release & Deployment Process Manager and team.
Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) responsibilities will include; Generates and executes the service management strategy for CMDB and data governance, asset, license and configuration management, and PC Service Delivery. Creates a standard method for introducing, updating, and tracking components in the IT environment. Provides standard capabilities for storing information about CI's. Enables the identification of the components that make up a service in order to more accurately set Service Level Objectives. Identifies, controls, records, reports, audits and verifies service assets and configuration items including versions, baselines, components, attributes and relationships. Ensures that all changes to Service Assets and Configuration items are reflected in the CMDB. Ensures that only authorized components are used in the services and infrastructure. Protects the integrity of Service Assets and Configuration items throughout the service lifecycle. Minimizes the number of quality and compliance issues caused by improper configuration of services and assets. Provides accurate representation of components, assets, services, releases and environments. Helps provide the information to support accurate assessment of the risk and impact of proposed changes. Improves the assessment of the impact of a CI failure by readily identifying the services that it supports.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of 10 years of broad IT infrastructure experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of Change Management experience in a global environment is required. Project Management experience is required. Experience in service creation, team development, and strategy is required. Experience and strong subject matter expertise with the implementation and ongoing maturing across technologies / functions related to CMDB, Change and Release Management capabilities and systems is required. Experience building virtual teams globally and enterprise wide with the IT Change, Release and Configuration managers in order to establish the organization of the future is required. Experience with quality assurance standards such as ISO, SOX & GxP is preferred.
The ability to take strategic decisions and build a long-term process vision / strategy for each process is required. The ability to interact with regulatory bodies such as internal and external audit agencies and Quality & Compliance is required. The ability to operationalize processes and tools from requirements through engineering and deployment is required. Knowledge of Process Excellence is preferred.
