The District Manager (DM) will manage a team of field sales representatives who proactively fulfills Janssen Biotech's sales strategies by selling Janssen Biotech products within a specific franchise. They must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the product's clinical efficacy, articulate a value proposition for the customer, provide clinical support/ information as needed, and achieve their sales quota.

The successful DM will demonstrate the ability to manage their region strategically while operating within an assigned budget. They will also need to be a leader among their peers.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. M.B.A. or Masters preferred. Candidates must have at least 2 - 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biologic/biotech or medical device sales & demonstrated leadership skills/abilities. If transferring from another J&J company candidates must have completed a J&J Mgmt Development Program (Field Leadership Development Program, DM Prep Program). Prior people management experience is required in lieu of FLDP or DMPP graduation or minimum of 3 months as an Interim DM experience is required. Thorough ability to articulate knowledge and understanding of process, billing, reimbursement and operational requirements is required. Previous management experience is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to motivate and lead a team. Experience with infusible products is desirable. A working knowledge of immunology and rheumatology is preferred. Some overnight travel may be required, due to home location in territory; account management needs, training requirements and other meetings. All candidates must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 states along with a clean driving record. This role has multiple job levels (i.e. Senior, Executive., Sr. Executive) and will be based on relevant years of experience.
