Position Description: Responsible for interfacing with internal & external customers on all issues including regular business review, customer site visits and internal & external presentations of account status updates. Daily conference calls with clients in support of start-ups/on going business demands. Supervisory responsibilities for Coordinators to include cross-training of account(s). Provide logistical solutions to customer requirements and requests. Tracking and reporting of financial metrics and measurements. Ensure adequate development and execution of training program for account & operational activities.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma/equivalent plus two years related experience required.
  • Experience with the requirements for freight movement (truckload, air, small parcel, LTL, etc.) is required.
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Word such as including styles, mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar.
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/unhiding data, setting print titles & page breaks, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options, and chart formatting options.
  • Additional Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Business Administration preferred.
    - Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems including LMS preferred
    - TM & Ryder On-Line experience in TM Center environment preferred.
    - Previous supervisory or experience working with customers or carriers preferred.
    - Candidate must possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and have a strong professional presence.
    - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.

    Responsibilities:

  • Direct interfacing with internal and external customers on all issues to include regular business reviews, customer site visits and internal and external presentation of account status updates.
  • Full supervisory responsibility for all Coordinator resources assigned to departments under the individual.
  • Development and maintenance of ISO methods and procedures to achieve process compliance and organizational goals.
  • Accumulation, distribution and retention of customer and operational reporting.
  • Provide feedback & recommendations to drive continuous improvements
  • Resolve, track and develop corrective action for customer issues
  • Backup support for all Coordinator responsibilities
  • Provide feedback on Coordinator performance.
  • Assists in additional projects or requirements from the account manager.
  • Provide solutions to customer requirements and requests.
  • Insure adequate development and execution of training program for department and operational activities
  • Maintain and enforce high level of customer service.
  • Back-up for the Receipt and entry of shipment level information from customers into operational support systems.
  • Back-up to Coordinator for routing of shipments using enabling technologies and business processes to insure maximum value to customers.
