The Senior Manager of Sales Optimization is responsible for the strategy and execution of Sales Force structure utilizing an outsource model. This position involves routine engagement with high level internal Sales and Marketing along with Business Analytics and Sales Operations business partners. This person is responsible for utilizing these business partners along with a vendor to develop an understanding of and facilitate the development of the sales force strategy. The responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitating the development of a targeting strategy, collecting data, conducting in-depth analysis, gaining competitive intelligence, building scenarios and creating presentations for all levels of the organization. The environment for this position is complex, fast paced, dynamic and ever changing. A person with a background in Sales Optimization with strong project management skills is preferred. Knowledge of pharmaceutical data, process and sales force structure is required. An ability to communicate with all levels of the organization including board room presentations is also required. This person must have strong project management skills including vendor and budget management. Programming skills are not required but an ability to communicate direction on analysis needs is required. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.

Qualifications
BS/BA Degree required and an advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical business experience is preferred. Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills are required. Operational experience in pharmaceutical information processing is required. The ability to organize/analyze multiple data sources and events into a cohesive result is required. Strong communications skills including an ability to influence high level Sales and Marketing personnel is required. Must have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects. Experience vendor management and budget is preferred. Experience communicating and interacting cross-functionally with all levels of the organization required. Experience maintaining controls and timelines as they relate to quality and project completion is required. Experience forging solid relationships at multiple levels of an organization and across cultures is required. Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and upper management to impact decision-making; Willingness to "have an opinion" backed up by insight and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis. Familiarity with syndicated data sources, such as IMS, and with the pharmaceutical sales process required. Data warehouse knowledge along with an ability to facilitate the transfer of data sources is required. Strong Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint are required.
