Under the general supervision of a Nurse Director, assists with the management of a patient care unit. The Patient Care Supervisor may also assume responsibility for direct patient care as needed to patients of all ages. Assumes delegated responsibility in maintaining standards of patient care, managing human resources and maintaining productivity measures. Completes additional duties as assigned in the absence of the Nurse Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.)Requires a Bachelor of Nursing degree with a active Nursing License for State of Wisconsin. must be certification in Basic Life Support with at least 3 years Staff Nursing experience with some leadership.
2.) Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice in General, Orthopedic and Bariatric post-surgical care. Will serves as a clinical resource to staff in these areas. Must have some knowledge in areas of Medical and Pediatric Nursing to meet the Department Job Competencies.
3.) Communicates effectively with levels of management, physicians, and staff.
4.)Makes independent decisions, and assumes responsibility for same and has creative problem solving approach.
5.) Thinks conceptually and applies these principles to practical situations
6.) Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to listen, understand, and influence
7.) Responds effectively and meets deadlines. Must be objective and decisive under pressure.
8.) Demonstrates and role models understanding and support for the mission, values, and vision of the organization.
9.) Must be able to Staff on the Unit
10.) Must meet the Job Descriptions Physical Activity requirements.
11.) Must have an ACLS Certiciation.
