The Lead Financial Analyst position is a client-facing role responsible for supporting the processes that produces the strategic financial plans, annual budgets, and monthly reporting and analysis of results related to NFS BIO group and associated capital projects. As the Lead Financial Analyst you will perform and/or support cost center and project budgeting, forecasting and long range financial/multi-year planning, variance analysis and reporting, interpretation of quantitative information, financial modeling and creating presentations for upper management review and key decision support. You will work directly with KP-IT business partners to understand their business needs and drivers and report them in a clear and concise manner.


Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of financial reports and comprehensive analyses with written summaries to management.
- The coordination, compilation and distribution of financial data.Analysis and commentary on financial results, provide variance analysis, research and resolve financial irregularities, and ensure transparency.
- Preparation of Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
- Participation in the planning and development of regional, departmental and/or functional budgets.
- Participation in and/or leads projects of moderate to complex scope as assigned.
- Design and implementation of monthly financial reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 8 years of financial planning and analysis or related experience.
General knowledge and understanding of accounting rules and principles.
General knowledge and understanding of project management principles.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Proven initiative and self-directed style.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong analytical and proactive problem solving skills.
Ability to work under demanding and tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy as both originator and reviewer.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of KP-IT's systems and financial tools.
- Working knowledge Cognos and/or Business Objects.
