Consults strategically with Leadership and employees on Labor Relations, Employee Relations, HR Policy and Equal Employment Opportunity issues. Provides leadership for and participates in labor management partnership committees and activities. Interprets labor agreements, non-union policies and advises on labor and employment laws/regulations. Ensures that all Human Resources practices are in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, labor contracts and relevant state and federal statutes.

Essential Functions:
- Strategizes with leaders concerning the need for reorganization based on strategic business initiatives and provides change management assistance.
- Works collaboratively with other Regional Human Resources functions to ensure consistent. application/interpretation of Labor Relations, Employee Relations, EEO/AA, FMLA, ADA and Diversity policies, contracts, and strategies. May coordinate and/or facilitate area Labor Management Partnership Committees and other joint labor/management committees and task forces.
- Consults with HR Leadership, Legal counsel and/or Compliance, as necessary, when to ensure appropriate policy interpretation and application as needed. Communicates relevant interpretation information to HR staff, managers and others as needed.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with leaders to ensure business initiatives are implemented and supported.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the current strategies and its impact on the overall success of the business. (Example - Total Performance and Best Place to Work)
- Guides and assists managers, supervisors and employees with conflict resolution and issue resolution in response to workplace issues.
- Consults with managers to provide expertise and guidance in strategy development as well as execution, planning, and facilitation of labor and employee relations matters.
- Educates and coaches management on all Human Resources issues and practices and decision making support.
- Drives and oversees resolution of labor grievances, disputes, employee issues and concerns.
- Manages investigations and leads the arbitration and litigation prep process with Regional Labor Relations Manager and the Legal Department. Research and gathers appropriate material to write EEOC position statements in response to corresponding charges.
- Support multiple locations and client groups with an employee base of 300-400.
- Based on organizational initiatives and management requests, leads training/communication presentations.
- Provides excellent presentation and persuasion skills to drive change across the organization.
- Identify and implement process improvement solutions that enhance overall effectiveness and productivity.
- Conducts Compliance, EEO, and E/R investigations. Ensures that investigations are processed in a professional and timely manner. Collaborates as necessary with Compliance, Legal and/or the Labor Relations Manager and Leaders.
- Identify/suggest leading indicators, outcomes, and recommendations so that leaders are abreast of current compliance trends across the organization. Identify pro-active measures to reduce future risks.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience in the field of HR consulting and/or management required.
-Minimum of 5years of experience in HR consulting and/or HR management.
-Minimum of 2years of experience working in a Labor environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of labor relations and employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in HR policy understanding and interpretation.
- Excellent communication, presentation and consulting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others, and to work in collaboration across a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently to support multiple remote locations.
- Solid problem-solving and business acumen skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources or Labor Relations.
- Minimum of7 years of experience in HR consulting and/or HR management.
- Contract Negotiations experience.
- Six Sigma or comparable process improvement experience.
