Reporting to the Area Manager, w/ dotted line accountability to Strategy & Culture Alignment in Regional Offices, leads & directs the implementation & ongoing management of the STAR leadership development program in local area including needs assessment, curriculum design & development & implementation of programs. Provides gap analysis, consultation, assessment, & recommends solutions to develop sustainable leadership qualities in all Area leaders. This position reports to senior leadership & provides organizational development consultation & executive/management coaching to the senior leadership team.
Essential Functions:
- Leads & directs the development, implementation & ongoing mgmt of a full array of leadership classes for Area Leaders, Mgrs & Supervisors
- Inspires & leads change, drives for organizational improvements, celebrates successes & builds consensus among TPMG, Hospital/Health Plan & Physician Leaders
- Ensures that leadership development courses & initiatives align w/ overall region-wide business strategies & imperatives
- Oversees program administration & follows up w/ local leaders, mgrs & supervisors to ensure ongoing engagement in the leadership development process
- Serves as a key member of the local leadership team & provides guidance in determining goals & priorities for the STAR leadership development program
- Updates leadership team on progress & participation in the STAR Leadership Development Program
- Leads development of STAR curriculum & modules
- Understand Senior Leadership Team's vision for current & future curriculum needs
- Reviews curriculum w/ Senior Leadership Team to meet competencies
- Submits curriculum revisions for Leadership review
- Provide new course requests & suggestions
- Works w/ module developers to create & revise modules to meet the STAR Module standards
- Identifies & works w/ Senior Leadership Team to develop recommendations for website enhancements
- Communicates w/ Senior Leadership of KFH/HP & TPMG to learn of new focus areas for curriculum & forums & to understand potential content needs & trainer interest
- Designs curriculum & programs aligned w/ leadership competencies
- Leads course development
- Review new content w/ Senior Leadership Team prior to including in curriculum
- Identify w/ Senior Leadership Team new course requirements & opportunities
- Partners w/ Learning & Development staff to actively engage in the development & delivery of local leadership development courses
- Deliver high levels of service to achieve established leadership goals & objectives
- Works w/ subject matter experts to design & deliver leadership development courses to meet local needs
- Trains & certifies local leaders to facilitate leadership development training programs
- Designs & implements leadership forums to recognize leaders who have actively participated in & achieved key leadership development milestones
- Conducts overall & ongoing assessment & gap analysis of local leadership development needs; identifies opportunities for improvement
- Conducts outreach to mgrs & leaders for potential content needs & trainer interest
- Oversee development, enhancements & revisions of modules to ensure they meet the STAR module standard
- Consults w/ local Leadership on organizational development needs & the facilitation & attainment of key organizational objectives
- Builds & manages a high performing team; responsible for hiring, performance mgmt, coaching & mentoring of staff
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Seven (7) plus years of experience in developing & leading training programs
- Demonstrated management experience in hiring, managing & mentoring high caliber staff in a complex organization
- MA or MBA w/ concentration in Leadership Development or Organization Development or related area
- Demonstrated expertise as strategic leader w/ excellent problem-solving skills, proven capability to motivate change & to galvanize action
- Demonstrated leadership in key behaviors such as communication, influence, team focus, change leadership, reward/recognition, cultural competence, developing others, personal development & emotional intelligence
- Excellent oral & written skills
- Knowledge of Organization Development, change management, leadership development, organization & group dynamics, motivation theory & organization design, strategies & business planning preferred
