Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Supervisor assumes responsibility for maintaining efficient daily operations of respective Diagnostic Imaging facilities. He or she ensures the delivery of high quality care consistent with organizational core values. They provide direct supervision and coaching for clinical and clerical support staff.
Essential Functions
- Supervise assigned staff including: interviewing, hiring/ termination, orientation, coaching, counseling and performance evaluation.
- Manage FTE allocations by coordinating work schedules in accord with UFCW contract guidelines.
- Ensure efficient work flow by monitoring patient/exam volume.
- Perform various diagnostic imaging exams in accordance industry standards and department policy.
- Train employees on current practices/procedures and/or process changes.
- Monitor all quality control and quality assurance programs to include preventive maintenance records
- Adhere to and enforces all applicable governing regulations.
- Collaborates with other supervisors, managers and medical office staff in planning, monitoring and facilitation of medical services to our members.
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels
- Meet fiscal responsibilities preparing/managing operating budget
- Develop reports and/or project plans that communicate outcomes.
- Responds to and resolve member problems, concerns and/or request for information.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
Two to four years work related experience as a Radiology, Mammography, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- One to three years leadership experience (will consider experience as a lead technologist or equivalent).
- Demonstrated strong clinical radiology knowledge base and judgment.
- Strong knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging operations to include: exam preparation, patient scheduling patient flow, imaging procedures, diagnostic imaging reporting policies, transcription reporting and film library functions.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QI, MQSA, NCQA standards, and federal and state rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of IDXRAD, and EPIC
- Strong computer skills are required; (keyboard skills, with knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email and use of the Internet).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred.
- Registration in multiple disciplines
