Job description
As a member of the GBS Global Government Center of Competency Social Services Team, the Curam Senior Technical Consultant, by virtue of their experience and their exposure to a variety of project areas, will assume a key role on assignments. They develop deep expertise in the technical aspects of the Curam Business Application Suite (CBAS) and work with clients and/or systems integration partners on requirements definition/elaboration, functional and technical design, fit/gap (from a technical or non-functional perspective), CBAS technical configuration (rules, workflow, etc), CBAS extension development and unit testing (in J2EE), and system technical architecture definition.
Responsibilities:
· To facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with client staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements.
· To create functional and technical designs for Curam extensions and configurations, such as workflow and/or rules.
· To code and unit test Curam extensions in a J2EE environment.
· To investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.
· To work closely with client and SI partner staff on matters related to the CBAS technical architecture.
· To establish and maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees, SI partners and clients, and to promote Cúram Softwareâ??s technical credibility as a capable and trusted partner.
· To uphold the same professional standards and work ethic expected of all our consultancy staff and to lead by example when working with less experienced staff.
This is a worldwide role and candidates will need to travel extensively.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years experience in a professional hands-on computer-related role (e.g., developer, technical analyst, or consultant).
- At least 3 years experience in Strong J2EE knowledge
- At least 3 years experience in Knowledge of UML
- At least 3 years experience in UNIX and NT Operating systems
- At least 3 years experience in Relational databases (DB2 or Oracle) and SQL
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in Working with ERP or package (COTS) software. ERP or COTS software includes, but is not limited to, products from SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Seibel, Lawson, Harmony, CGI, etc
- At least 3 years experience in Understanding of the core functionality or the associated business processes of human services (e.g., welfare, medical assistance, child protection, child support, or health insurance)
- At least 3 years experience in Eclipse Integrated Development Environment, or Eclipse based IDE products such as IBM Rational Application Developer is highly desirable.
- At least 3 years experience in Software Configuration Management / version control products such as IBM Rational ClearCase, CVS, Subversion
