GENERAL SUMMARY
- Responsible for the overall look and feel of the web applications. Develops the front end visual and technical design of web environments.
- Responsibilities include compiling internet/intranet requirements, coordination of design implementations with graphical designers, and development/maintenance of overall structure, security, performance, and external links to relevant locations on the web site.
- Provides guidance to Web Developers on complex assignments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers an integrated web environment which includes the requirements analysis, the design of web interfaces to databases, and programming and scripting of web applications.
- Coordinates and leads a design implementation team to develop and maintain a web site. Develops project plans and coordinates the activities of the design team. Ensures the overall structure and functionality of the web interface is effective and consistent.
- Confers with departments and conducts needs analyses to gather ideas for content to be made available on a web site.
- Works with IT technical staff to integrate the web site into the appropriate applications.
- Produces graphical elements utilizing industry standard graphics software.
- Provides timely reports to management to track status of assigned projects including coordination of appropriate staff members and ongoing stage of the project.
- Provides on-going mentoring to staff in the construction of web pages, proper uploading of pages, file transfer, and the use of web technology.
- Remains current with all new and emerging web technology.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (5-7 years) experience in all phases of applications software development/maintenance life cycles in a client server environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in technical skills and knowledge required in one or more higher level programming languages respective to various client server / web-based programming development environments.
- Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g. partnering, conflict management, consulting, etc.).
- Understanding of health care business and care delivery processes preferred.
Java Developer skillset:
- - Minimum 3-5 years professional Java enterprise development experience
- Expert in Java programming language
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on a Java Enterprise or J2EE-based application using Weblogic /JBoss Application Server
- Experience with Spring Framework (any version)
- Experience with iBatis, Hibernate persistence (any version)
- Experience with Oracle: writing SQL queries and tuning SQL queries for performance
OR
dotNet Developer skillset:
- Minimum 3-5 years professional dotNet enterprise development experience
- Expert in VB.Net programming language
- Experience with dotNet WinForms development
- Experience with Infragistics tool set preferred.
OR
Web Developer skillset:
- 3+ years of experience in web software development with 2+ years of hand-on experience with J2EE and Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)
- 1+ years of experience with IceFaces 3.0 and JSF framework
- Expertise in XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
