The Group Product Director position is based in Diamond Bar, California and reports directly to the Director, US Commercial Marketing. This person leads the development and manages the execution of the US Commercial Marketing strategy for his/her assigned product line to achieve defined business objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Owns responsibility for the development, execution, and business performance of all programs designed to increase revenue and market share. Responsible for the financial performance of relevant product lines as well as management. Responsible for the management and monitoring of key accounts, product trends, and initiatives. Product expert on the assigned product line and will work closely with the US Sales & Field Services workforce. Responsible for developing and managing national and local programs or initiatives that are aligned to the US business plan and lead to achievement of annual revenue plans for the assigned product line in the US market. Create and execute downstream marketing plans that increase US market share. Researches, analyzes, and monitors US product line and SKU level financials, demand trends, customer movements, so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized. Understands and anticipates customer needs. Supports field proactively with on-going customer-facing activities and field presence. Develops existing product value propositions (positioning, price, and promotion). Collaborates with Global Education, New Product Development and Field Leadership team to develop proper training materials and ensure field proficiency. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA is strongly preferred. An emphasis in Marketing or International Business is an asset. Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience with prior experience in medical device marketing and/or field sales or R&D/Clinical required. Electrophysiology technology experience is strongly preferred. Selling Skills/AIDINC training proficiency is an asset. Proven track record of marketing leadership including product positioning, account development and marketing campaigns with strong analytical skills (proficient in Excel, trending, statistical analysis, P&L analysis, and database exposure) to measure results is an asset. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional and marketing teams to deliver on objectives including revenue, market share and profitability required. Experience in developing and implementing yearly business plans which include defining of goals, strategies and tactics required. Must be strategic-minded with superior collaboration skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to learn complex technology/clinical applications required. Strong presentation skills, executive presence, customer relations skills, and proven track record of respect and connections with field organizations required. Proven, strong competencies in results orientation, strategic thinking, analytical thinking, and communication, sense of urgency, teamwork/collaboration and emotional intelligence required. This position is based in Diamond Bar, CA and will require 40% travel, occasional weekend work and travel will be required.
