The Associate Quality Control Scientist will support manufacturing and support areas by conducting routine general chemical, biochemistry, microbial and/or biological testing of materials and product for release or in-process purposes, in compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations. This individual will perform stability testing and cross testing across the group as required. She/He will validate methods and equipment. This individual will performs a variety of duties related to the efficient and effective functioning of the Quality Control lab. She/he promptly enters data into respective system (e.g., LIMS, etc.), maintains detailed records in compliance with applicable cGMP, safety and environmental requirements, participates in writing, reviewing and modifying SOPs, protocols and other lab documents as necessary and maintains routine equipment and instruments. This individual may calibrate equipment as required, ensuring compliance. The candidate will perform housekeeping to ensure lab area is continuously maintained in a safe, orderly and compliant condition and maintains inventory and order materials as required. This individual will demonstrate ability in testing and methods as required.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or other Life Science with 3+ years related experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry, or Master's Degree in above, with 1+ years related experience is required. Prior demonstrated success at Assistant Scientist level or experience working in GMP facility is required. Experience reading and interpreting documents such as SOPs, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals is required. Knowledge and experience with cGMPs is required. Experience with HPLC methods, cIEF methods, Spectrophotometry is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot analytical instrumentation is preferred. Experience writing and revising Test Methods and Analytical procedures is preferred. Experience working in a GMP facility with good documentation practices is required. Experience with GMP documentation systems (i.e. LIMS and SAP systems) is required. Ability to work in a cross functional team environment, collaborating with others, or independently is required. This position is located in Malvern, PA and is 1st shift Monday - Friday.
