Description
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNeil-PPC, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, Mylanta and ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants.
The Senior Project Manager will lead cross functional OTC enterprise project teams or consent Decree Project teams who are responsible for the management and execution of all elements of delivering enterprise wide projects (scope definition & control, stakeholder alignment, project planning, resource & risk management, project leadership, team development and communication). Successful Project Management includes guiding enterprise activities to meet objectives and approval of project recommendations through governance.
Critical skills needed to perform the job include enterprise leadership and facilitation, collaboration, attention to detail, significant experience and demonstrated proficiency in MS Project, and demonstrated business acumen, project management, communication, process management, and team performance management. Making the complex simple and representing a true enterprise view are critical competencies.
The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment. They will independently lead, without appreciable direction. They must be able to influence others beyond their scope and level (director and VP). They will identify and recommend the best enterprise business proposition, develop a project plan, and then deliver the project plan to achieve business results. This includes; early identification of issues and opportunities, developing and delivering viable alternatives and contingency plans, engaging teams in healthy debate/conflict, the communication of risk and development of proposed mitigation plans. Monitor project status / execution. Identify, communicate and help resolve key issues. Provide ongoing status communications to the team and appropriate levels of the organization. Drive team accountability for deliverables and ensure projects meet milestones. Lead "lessons learned" exercises, share lessons among project leaders and other teams, integrate lessons into existing processes, tools and templates. Senior Project Managers will make the complex simple and represent a true enterprise view when presenting opportunities and plans to the team and organization.
The Senior Project Manager will develop and manage MS Project Timelines inclusive of all team milestones, sub-milestones, interdependencies, progressing milestones, etc. They will develop agendas, minutes, metrics, etc. for the teams. They will make timely updates to Project Templates, Project Dashboards, & Update Forms. They will need strong facilitation skills to drive the team to deliver results/conclusions, manage conflicts, and deliver solutions. They will lead prioritization exercises with teams. Escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders; lead delivery of tactical and achievable mitigation & contingency planning. Transparent communication via status updates. Utilization of tools to identify, manage, and communicate processes and risks. Timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams and to stakeholders.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a degree in Physical Sciences, Business or a related discipline preferred. A Master's Degree in a business or related field is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in the OTC, consumer products and/or pharmaceutical industries is required. A minimum of 2 years in a manager role is required. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills are required. A proven record of leading teams in a matrix environment to deliver results is required. Experience in an OTC or Pharmaceutical regulated environment is required. Familiarity with standard PM tools and templates is required. Business and Financial acumen is required. Demonstrated leadership & influencing skills are required. Project management, team leadership or functional line management experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred. PMP or other Project Management certification is preferred. Process Excellence or Six Sigma certification is preferred. This position will be based in Fort Washington, PA and may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.
