This Trainee role is part of our talent development strategy.
You'll be assigned a region in which to maintain and grow designated key accounts using proven practices, with full back-up in field and at head office. Working closely with your Regional Sales Manager and the Sales Training Manager, you'll receive full product and selling skills training, as well as ongoing support. Your initial training programme will be from 6-12 months, with introductory training held either in Europe or in the US. Customer relationships and people development are fundamental. So you'll be expected to treat your territory as your own business. Then, following successful completion of your training programme, which might involve project work in other parts of the business, you'll be assigned to a territory. But you must be flexible about location within the UK, as your assignment will be based on specific territorial and/or business needs.
Qualifications
You must have a good degree in a business or science discipline, supported by evidence of high achievements and/or awards but which need not be academic or work-related. But your capacity for sheer hard work, dedication and self-belief will reflect your confidence, self-drive and highly competitive yet customer-centric approach. You will also need:
- strong presentation skills
- suitability for spending a significant amount of your time in the operating theatre
- an affinity for teamwork
- excellent PC skills including a working knowledge of MS Office
- the emotional maturity to build relationships based on trust and respect
- a full, clean driving licence.
Organisational and entrepreneurial business skills are further key qualities you need to deliver outstanding results. Some experience in sales and/or medical sales would be useful but isn't essential.
