Position Description: The Logistics Analyst is responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation or related field or 8 (eight) years equivalent work experience
Intermediate level skills with MS Word such as including styles, mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar.
Intermediate level skills with MS Excel such as freezing/unfreezing panes, hiding/un-hiding data, setting print titles & page breaks, linking workbooks, creating external links, re-directing links, customizing toolbars & menus, protecting a worksheet, filtering options, and chart formatting options Additional Requirements: Candidate must also possess strong customer service, analytical skills to include:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Proven Problem Solving Skills are desired.
Reporting KPIs and Metrics
Proficiency with Excel and Access Preferred
Responsibilities:
Collects data and performs statistical analysis
Maps and documents processes
Conducts transportation analysis
Participates in continuous improvement projects
Works with other team members to develop alternative solutions
Uses Lean Six Sigma tools (5s and 5whys)
