The Clarity Director provides the overall oversight/ direction for the CD BIO Clarity support groups - including Portfolio Management/Business Engagement, Release and Optimization Management, Clarity Operations, and core and Investment Clarity related projects. Plays a key role in the successful implementation of the Clarity support model and in moving the application and its customers into more accessible, sustainable and affordable directions. Partners effectively with business and KPIT leaders and customers to ensure their success in Clarity related regional/national initiatives and programs.
Includes organizational leadership, business process, resource, and financial management, sponsorship and promotion of collaborative effectiveness. This job family generally encompasses positions regularly responsible for providing leadership and direction to employees. This work requires an expertise in communication skills, and management concepts plus a solid base of technology and/or business knowledge/skills and the ability to apply it to business problems.


Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Directs the activities of several sections, department(s), or a broad functional area through subordinate managers who have overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing key initiatives, developing strategies and skill sets of employees, and controlling/managing costs. Manages HR/People processes for the organizational area including performance /management, resource management, compensation administration, objective setting/alignment, employee development/coaching and training.
- Manages financial aspects of the organizational area; accountable for direct budget. May provide financial projections for strategic plans or forecast for future years.
- Develops strategies in using the workforces and technologies in a cost effective manner to achieve affordability and sustainability of support services.Participates with other managers to establish change, implement strategic plans and objectives.
- Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives.
- Partners effectively with the Clarity/Reporting and Analytic business and IT contacts in all 8 regions, as well as on national teams, to ensure business requirements are being met within the scope of the support budgets and other financial investments.
- Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
- Establishes and ensures budgets and schedules meet IT requirements.
- Directs managers and highly technical individual contributors typically across departments or units in a functional or geographic area including external resources and/or matrixed employees.
- The Clarity groups interact with several vendor companies, all 8 regions, and multiple national groups. Ensures the development and maintenance of effective working relationships across all groups, with appropriate SLA definition and tracking to report out support metrics. Directly contributes to contract negotiations to arrange to sufficient support personal/tasks to accomplish a stable support model for Clarity. Enforces contract conditions to hold parties accountable for their service commitments.
- Regularly interacts with senior or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, regions, and/or business partners.
- Establishes strategy and tactics within area of responsibility, and may contribute to IT strategy formulation. Contributes significantly to future sustainability model for Clarity.
- Drives change, process improvements and cultural transformation and acts as change leader.
- Ensures plans in place to accomplish area goals, results tracked and resources appropriately allocated across area of responsibility.
- Monitors the results of functional area and IT processes.
- Reviews and integrates business processes to achieve business results and appropriate solutions for customers.
- Oversees the establishment of effective governance processes across business and IT groups who serve as customer base. Participates as a key player in these committees, representing Clarity for the IT community.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- Master's degree in a related field and/or 6 years of equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 or more years of progressively responsible management experience in planning, budget/financial management, and staffing.
- A minimum of 8 years of related IT experience including IT Project Management.
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing Clarity business reporting and operations at a manager level with direct customer interaction.
- Advanced knowledge of own area of functional responsibility and full knowledge of multiple related IT functions.

Preferred:

- Previous experience in HealthCare industry with exposure to related data demand, delivery and usage for operations and decision making.
- Exposure to and related implementation experience with Governance models.
