Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years experience in development of automation equipment or laboratory instrumentation.
- The candidate must have the drive and self-motivation to work in the fast-paced and challenging environment of new product development.
- Familiarity with automated instrumentation/equipment for laboratory, production, and/or agricultural field environments is a must.
- A proven track record of delivering results must be displayed.
- Key competencies required for this position include a strong mechanical aptitude, confidence in communicating with all levels, a high degree of organization and efficiency, strong drive, excellent team skills, ability to motivate others to achieve results, customer focus, and innovative problem solving skills.
- Experience in contributing to and leading multiple concurrent projects with shifting priorities is also a must.
- The ideal candidate shall also possess the ability to define an assembly schedule based on project complexity and successfully lead a team to accomplish it.
- Additional required competencies include familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics and the ability to interpret mechanical and electrical CAD drawings.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Specific experience with SolidWorks for Mechanical drawings, AutoCAD Electrical for electrical drawings, and Microsoft Project for project planning.
