Requires in-depth knowledge and skills in the use of electronic health records, patient portals, and medical informatics, and is accountable for the successful execution of project goals that align with the goals of HIT Transformation & Analytics and the Department of Hospitals, Quality, and Care Delivery Excellence. Leads, and/or provides project management to high visibility projects to identify and resolve issues of strategic importance to KP HealthConnect and Kp.org value realization & optimization. Shares in the accountability of outcomes and performance for broad Strategic Optimization efforts that include identifying and leading relevant work, end-to-end management of health IT projects, and support for communication and dissemination of results.
Shares in the accountability of outcomes and performance for broad Knowledge Management areas of Value Realization and Optimization that include regional analysis/evaluation projects; generation, review, and distribution of appropriate content describing HIT-related best practices amenable to Program-wide spread and the building of strategic relationships for communicating information. Identifies and documents strategic opportunities of value and optimization to highlight and share.
Requires planning to coordinate with other departments or resources. Interfaces regularly with regional Health Plan, Hospital and Medical National and Regional Leadership to produce timely and valuable results. Makes recommendation to manager/director on strategic direction of projects and systematic opportunities for knowledge management. Determines goals and priorities with management team sponsors.
Responsible for working collaboratively with regional KP HealthConnect and operations staff, KP HealthConnect Clinical and Management teams to ensure the National KP HealthConnect Reporting and KP HealthConnect clinical content and Permanente medicine programs are supported. Develop tools, documents, project plans, framework, implementation plans for program-wide projects. Develops materials, tools, for meetings with regions and departments to establish effective working relationships. Project manage implementation, tracking and reporting of Active Strategy and other key improvement initiatives for KP HealthConnect, HIT Transformation & Analytics, Quality & Care Delivery System Excellence and across the regions to monitor progress of implementation of value realization targets and goals. Identify and facilitate sharing of best practices across the program pertaining to value realization and clinical systems optimization.
Provide project management for implementation of Active Strategy across the regions for tracking and reporting program-wide quality goals. Provide analytic support for other strategic projects as assigned. Makes significant contributions to high visibility projects to identify and assist in escalation and resolution of issues of strategic importance to the KP HealthConnect and Kp.org Value Realization. Produces timely and valuable results.
Designs quality improvement projects and plans for data gathering and analysis; participates significantly in interpreting analysis and developing action plans accordingly. Assists, as needed, in planning and coordinating with other ongoing teams and projects to maximize effectiveness.
Qualifications:
At least 6 years, with experience in project and program management, analysis and reporting of data, IT systems implementation, and financial analysis.
- Experience with implementation, maintenance or optimization of KP HealthConnect or other EMR
