Conducts medical outcome studies/projects. Coordinates and facilitates task forces of key physician groups, managers, supervisors, and frontline staff. Evaluates clinical evaluations, recommends interventions, and follows through with interventions in partnership with physician groups, managers, supervisors and frontline staff. Participates in quality information initiatives. Develops and manages effective use of process improvement to ensure systems improvements. Assists in establishment of work standards and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in defining project goals, scope, assumptions, analytic approach, and data needs. Assists with coordination and facilitates teams of key physicians, managers and supervisors and frontline staff as directed
- Collects, complies, and analyzes data as directed. Performs appropriate analyses. Develops data tables and written analyses as directed. Evaluates clinical options and recommends interventions. Follows through with intervention in partnership with physician groups, managers, supervisors and frontline staff. Presents same to project sponsor for review and approval
- Ensures effective management analyses ands tidies are performed as requested. Develops methodology and processes to set priorities for project scheduling and monitors and oversees implementation. Establishes audit and reporting mechanisms to determine progress made towards more efficient productive high quality improvement
- Participates in quality sanctioned committees, Quality Information Team initiatives, Clinical Fast Track quality improvement projects as assigned (includes collecting information from various information systems throughout Region, researching local and/or national data sources both within and outside Kaiser system, reviewing appropriate literature, collecting and compiling of data for operational improvement activities, recommending updates and modification of regional databases to facilitate future information needs and developing analytic approaches and methods to streamline future operational analyses)
- Assists in monitoring recommending changes in methods and procedures, and establishing work priorities to assure timely flow and efficiency, as appropriate. Acquires and interprets data for decision making. Provides decision support and analysis to mid-level managers and key physicians groups, managers, supervisors and frontline staff
- Conducts and participates in the compliance activities within the Region through an understanding of NCQA, TJC, CMS and other identified regulatory or accrediting agencies
- May perform patient care to the extent necessary to maintain clinical expertise, competency and licensing necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and to direct the provision of care on the unit
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- One year of quality management, quality assurance, or related experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Valid Hawaii RN license (must meet education requirement (s) for Hawaii State licensure)
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in interpersonal relations, oral communication, written communication, influence/negotiation, organization, planning, analysis, and quality management
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in allied health, economics, business, or related field
