This position will be responsible for ensuring that the applications architecture and infrastructure supporting moderately complex applications are designed to meet evolving business requirements and standards for reliability, scalability, and availability.
Mobile Application for Cell Phones- This exciting project will help design the current mobile application for Coventry Health Care while helping to build the member experience.
OAM- An employer portal which allows clients to manage their accounts, pay invoices, check rosters, ect.
Responsibilities:
- Develops enterprise level application and custom integration solutions including enhancements and interfaces, functions and features, supporting moderately complex applications.
- A deep understanding of the mobile technology landscape.
- Work through Java and .Net solutions.
- Determines specifications, plans, designs, and develops moderately complex software solutions, utilizing appropriate software engineering processes either individually or with members of the project team.
- Provides design recommendations and expertise regarding the integration of moderately complex applications across the business based on long-term IT organization strategy.
- Assists senior staff in root cause analysis and recommends solutions to moderately complex application support problems.
- Provides technical advice and counsel to developers related to the applications architecture for moderately complex applications.
- Designs and implements migration strategies for applications to new technologies.
- Develops programming and development standards and procedures and programming architectures for code reuse.
- Researches and maintains knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the business.
- Utilizes state-of-the-art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.
- Uses a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers.
- Think creatively and big picture, yet know how to make pragmatic tradeoffs
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (5-7 years) experience in multiple IT areas and relevant application architecture experience required.
- Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application frameworks, open source components and projects.
- Experience with with multiple programming languages including Objective-C, Java, HTML5/JS/CSS3, .Net, C++, etc.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of architecture, applications systems design and integration required.
- Strong knowledge of design and architecture patterns.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- A dynamic and engaging presentation style that commands respect inspires confidence and earns trust
- Demonstrated knowledge in the application of current technologies, emerging trends, and architectural principles.
