Position Description: As part of the Ryder team the Specialist will handle a variety of tasks.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 (four) years related business experience (accounting/financial)
    or AA and 3 (three) years work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and 2 (two) years related experience.

Additional Requirements: •Contractual Revenue & Quality Assurance Specialist ll will be responsible for preparing/ auditing billing metrics, providing high level data analysis, coaching employees, leadership support and implementing process improvements.
•Contractual billing and basic accounting experience preferred
•Experience reading and interpreting contractual documents
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred, i.e. formulas, data tables, pivot charts, functions, queries, importing and exporting, custom functions, data management and analysis
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word preferred, i.e. keyboard short cuts, creating macros, merge, merge queries, templates, table techniques, and working with images and text.
•Experience in Microsoft Access & Power Point preferred
•Understanding of financial methodology and ability to apply to analysis
•Attention to detail by validating data, identifying exceptions, requesting adjustments and processing corrections
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Ability to create statistical reports and submit to field personnel and Senior Management.
Strong analytical skills
•Familiarity with concepts of application or relevant theory, concepts and analytical tools
•Ability to readily learn and apply new information/concept in area of practice
•Requires full use and application of relevant principles, theories, concepts and techniques
•Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and communicate potential exceptions

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and uses analytical techniques to gather, assess and evaluate data
  • Performs complex level analysis and problem solving to assist in the development of business processes, products and services Analysis includes quantifiable and qualitative results
  • Typically operates as part of a team
  • May lend support to lower level analysts
  • Prepares status updates and reports for management
  • Review and interpretation of business functions
  • Conducts audits and quality control/assurance practices
  • Performs needs assessments
  • Identifies best practices
  • Works with constituents to develop concepts
  • May develop documentation and user manuals as directed
  • May functions as a Team Lead, providing guidance and support to lower level employees
