Senior Technician, Facilities provides maintenance support for facility equipment at multiple locations within the Northern California MD&D geographical footprint. Incumbent may be called to operate and maintain facility equipment including, but not limited to: building controls, fire protection systems and heating-ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Select candidate may help plan, coordinate, inspect, and perform maintenance/project management for facility related projects including, but not limited to: building remodeling and construction, equipment installation and/or replacement, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy conservation.

Senior Technician, Facilities will complete work orders related to maintenance and repairs, including trouble shooting potentially complex mechanical and electrical systems. This individual will also ensure proper and prompt utilization of our Computerized Maintenance and Management System (CMMS) for work orders and preventive maintenance entries and closures.

Incumbent will manages and arrange coordination of facilities contracted services as needed to support the facilities function and related equipment. This individual will also ensure, via ongoing inspections and audits, that buildings and building systems are receiving adequate maintenance attention.

The select candidate is responsible for ensuring customers' expectations are met or exceeded and continually and proactively communicating with customers regarding delivery/completion of work. Incumbent will also maintain and proactively seek out internal and external training to remain compliant and improve job related skills and expertise. The selected candidate assures security, safety and environmental requirements are met both personally and for contractors providing services. Incumbent will assist in the identification, planning, and execution of building and equipment improvements.

Qualifications


A High School degree is required. Two plus years of experience working in facilities maintenance or a similar function is required. Incumbent must possess knowledge and have displayed skills with multiple facility systems and equipment. Select candidate must be able to work well with others (team player) to accomplish the job responsibilities. Senior Technician, Facilities must assure others work in a safe manner at all times. This individual must be self-directed, able to multi-task, set priorities, and follow through on all assignments. Travel via car within the local Northern California region up to 20 miles per day is required. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States and a clean driving record. Experience working in GMP environments is preferred. Trade school and university classes/certifications/degrees are preferred.
