Within the Johnson & Johnson enterprise supply chain organization the Customer and Logistics Services (CLS) Transport EMEA is responsible for all transportation on a global basis allowing to leverage our global transportation spend and capabilities.

As part of this organization and in line with the strategic objective to achieve enterprise-wide alignment and governance processes for transportation for the EMEA region, the CLS Transport Team - EMEA has been introduced. This team is taking up the responsibility for transportation for the 3 sectors within J&J: Consumer, Pharma (Janssen) and MD&D in EMEA.

As part of this team there are 3 pillars

• Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
• Transportation Operations & Trade Compliance
• Transportation Technology, Analytics & Business Processes

The Transport Operations & Trade Compliance Coordinator will be a key member of the CLS Transport EMEA and the HUB-management group. He or she will be driving the Transport Operations for in- and outbound Distribution, the document management and exception handling and the Customs & Trade compliance processes in the Courcelles EDC on behalf of the MD&D sector Supply chain organization. He or she will ensure the delivery of execution excellence in the transactional transport, customs, and admin-istrative processes by creating a seamless integration on process-, communication- and interpersonal level between the CEVA shipping group, the network 3 and 4PL's, the WWT-EMEA group, the EDC HUB mgt group, the GMED organization and MD&D supply chain & Marketing organization. He or she will be located 60% of the week in Courcelles (Belgium) and 40% in Beerse (Belgium), limited international travel can be expected. The function holder will report to the Director Transportation Operations Trade Compliance CLS EMEA.

Your responsibilities:

- You will manage the administrative end-to-end process from document creation till dispatch of the order up and including the correct receipt of the order by the customer/recipient
- You will manage the daily operational co-ordination with the CEVA shipping and document control team
- You will manage the import and export processes for the EDC, trouble-shoot customs processes
- You will manage the customs-related licenses and registrations (software, governmental, chamber of commerce)
- You will own, lead and deliver standard shipping transaction processes for the EDC and to translate those into control plans
- You will drive and coordinate improvements in all aspects of the transport and customs processes in order to eliminate non-value added activities and quality inhibitors
- You will manage shipment complaints and claims and to drive systemic process change to eliminate defects
- You will manage the daily decisions on an operational level :
- Instigating pre-shipment inspections
- Transport exceptions: ordering express, changing MOT, changing packaging

- You will implement and follow up concepts/projects e.g. A.E.O, Known consigner, document reten-tion,…
- You will act as spokesperson in case of audits for all transport related issues
- You will be responsible for the archiving of shipping papers
- You will be responsible for measuring forwarder performance together with the WWT Bus. Processes and Sourcing pillar
- You will be authorized to approve invoices from carriers for Transportation, supplier invoices for pre-printed papers
- You will be authorized to approve Chamber of Commerce documents
- You will be authorized to approve transport papers.

Qualifications


- You have a masters degree in logistics or equivalent
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in Transport and customs
- You can show demonstrated leadership & strong communication/influencing skills
- A strong analytical & process orientation is a must
- You have strong project planning & execution skills
- You are a strong change agent with a positive can-do mentality
- You have a strong ability to switch between tactical and strategic level
- You are familiar with MS-Office tools and ERP packages
- You are fluent in French, English and (optionally) Dutch
- You are prepared to travel on short trips within Europe.
