Job description
Senior Managing Consultant, IBM Corporation, Somers, NY and at various client sites throughout the U.S.: Understand business and technical challenges, and provide advice and develop solutions for financial services clients. Develop, execute, and manage project management plan(s) for large projects. Lead the program management office (PMO). Responsible for overall project management including end-to-end delivery assurance, management of financials (revenue forecasting and realization), project schedule and change management maintenance, supervision of reporting, executive status, milestone tracking and balanced scorecards, and overseeing risk audits and reviews. Build cross-functional teams among diverse stakeholder groups including client business and functional organizations, domestic and global delivery organizations, and third party software vendors. Build client relationships with senior executives. Ensure client satisfaction and project delivery acceptance. Develop risk and execute risk management plans. Develop client proposals and identify and generate new business/revenue opportunities with existing clients. Utilize experience in financial strategy and process transformation, corporate finance, financial systems, financial planning and budgeting, financial performance measurement, M&A integration, program management, and data security and privacy process. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Sr. Managing Consultant, Director, Manager or related. 40 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
