Janssen Research & Development, Inc. is recruiting for a Cleaner 1, Laboratories for our Huntingdon Valley, PA location.

The Cleaner 1, Laboratories will be responsible for washing glassware/lab ware for R&D and CRS labs by hand and/or by lab dishwashers following established procedures. Monitor glassware/lab ware for clean hold-time expiration dates. Sort and store clean glassware/lab ware in designated areas. Collect bio-hazardous material containers from labs and store in designated area following established processes and regulations and replenish containers and bags as required. Manage the process for bio-hazardous material disposal with outside contractor. Serve as a member of the Safety Committee. Perform other miscellaneous lab-related tasks at the direction of R&D and CRS staff for which training has been received and documented. Upon request, perform the above procedures for the Manufacturing labs. In addition, perform other administrative tasks, including but not limited to: track kitchen supplies for all three buildings and set up and put away the coffee packages when delivered. Keep the kitchen areas clean and orderly. Set up for meetings as needed and help out with department or company luncheons. Distribute the mail and keep up with maintaining the mailboxes (e.g. assignment of mailbox for new and departed employees. Provide coverage of the main lobby visitors desk (greets and processes in visitors and guests, answers phone, etc.) while the security guard is on break.

Qualifications


A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous cleaning experience in a laboratory environment is required. Pharmaceutical experience is required.
