This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, aiding in the prevention of cross contamination, controlling bacteria and odor and sustaining an acceptable aseptic condition.

The incumbent in this position should be a High School graduate or equivalent, or with comparable experience, with the ability to perform basic cleaning functions including the operation of a wet/dry vacuum and shampooer. Special skills include knowledge of handling procedures for infectious and hazardous waste. Previous experience in housekeeping in an acute care setting is preferred.
