Leads the strategic sourcing of direct packaging material, either metal products or glass & plastics, for all MillerCoors brands. This person manages all aspects of developing category strategies, identifying suppliers, and negotiating agreements. Also responsible for overseeing total supplier relationship by working with relevant internal functions in quality, logistics, marketing, and technical design in support of brewery production. The role manages a spend in excess of $500M and is expected to deliver on core objectives of the business including cost savings, minority spend, sustainability, safety, and quality. The key customers are the breweries and brand owners.
This person will be expected to:
· Anticipate and respond to business opportunities and emerging trends based on changing market and competitive environment;
· Optimize sourcing value by driving best practices in formation and execution of short- and long-term sourcing strategies;
· Apply knowledge, tools and processes to benefit and improve supply management; and
· Demonstrate ability to apply several methodologies or tools for incremental improvements
Because of the significance of spend in this area and our collaborative cross-functional approach, the ideal candidate:
· must have very strong interpersonal skills;
· demonstrate strategic vision and thought leadership; and
· possesses influencing and persuading skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Finance and 10 years procurement or relevant business experience accepted. MBA in these fields and CPM preferred.
Incumbent can be based in either Golden, CO or Milwaukee, WI.
