Qualifications
Required skills/experience:
  • Deep knowledge of several programming/scripting/stats languages including functional and object-oriented languages
  • Demonstrated ability to create insightful, interactive, data-rich applications and visualizations
  • Degree in Computer Engineering or related field and 5+ years experience developing software
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools
  • Experience working with scientists to translates their needs into data applications and visualizations
  • Knowledgeable in software engineering practices such as requirements management, configuration management, acceptance testing, review process, release management, support, and maintenance
  • Experience in managing multiple projects with rapidly shifting priorities

  • Experience developing software on a dynamic team utilizing agile methodologies, version control, test-driven development, and continuous integration
Desired skills/experience:
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5 Canvas, CoffeeScript, cake, and brunch
