Required Skills/Experience:
 
MS in Agronomy, Plant breeding, Plant Pathology, or related field of study or BS and at least 5 years of work experience within a Plant Breeding program.
Familiarity with plant breeding methodologies.
Knowledge of crop production.
Skill in farm equipment operation.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary/multicultural research team.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and record keeping skills and the ability to foster a positive team environment.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to travel seasonally overnight to establish and take data from off site trials.
Strong computer skills related to data acquisition, organization, and analysis.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Research experience in managing cotton plots.
Experience with nematodes/pathogens desired.
Broad knowledge of crop production and farming practices.
The ability to lift 40 lbs.
The ability to pass a drug test.
Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
