Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
MS with minimum 5 years experience or a PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Plant Science or related field
Proficient in the use of statistical analysis for method development/validation, problem solving and decision making.
Use of automated platforms for liquid handling
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Desired Skills/Experience
Demonstrated proficiency in method optimization specifically in the areas of PCR optimization, assay development, primer/probe design, RT-PCR, and PCR detection methods
Microfluidics experience
Programming experience with laboratory automation equipment
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
