Job description
The BAO Business Analyst is directly accountable/responsible for successful delivery of Public Sector process transformation and change management initiatives. The Business Analyst will also have direct involvement in business case development and performance measurement. It will be essential that the Business Analyst have an understanding of public sector industry and operations. This individual provides hands-on leadership, direction, and mentoring to the team as well as manages client relationships throughout the full lifecycle.
In addition, the Business Analyst will be responsible for developing detailed business requirements, systems architectures and design, resulting system design documentation and translating business needs into system requirements and design.
Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site.
Generally projects and clients are within the Metro area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Business Analyst experience on information technology projects
- At least 2 years experience in Business Analyst
- At least 2 years experience in Team Leader role managing 5-7 people on a software development project
- At least 2 years experience in full software development life-cycle experience
- At least 2 years experience in the use of Microsoft suite of products e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- At least 3 years experience in Oracle RDBMS and or Oracle Data Integrator and or Oracle Data Warehouse tools; Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing; Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, EPM 11.
- Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Certified in PMP
- English : Intermediate
