The In Vivo Research Scientist will join the in vivo group efforts in the characterization and development of biologics that function as immune modulators for the treatment of cancer. S/he will be responsible for independently contributing to the ex vivo and in vivo studies for multiple research programs across the different stages of pre-clinical drug discovery. His/her responsibilities include the design, execution and interpretation of in vivo studies for the validation and characterization of targets or therapeutic agents in the area of tumor immunology. Specifically the candidate will establish and perform in vivo target inhibition, efficacy, mechanism of action, and PD biomarker studies and will evaluate the influence of dose, schedule, and combinations in various cancer models. Previous experience with immune-oncology relevant models including xenografts, syngenic models, primary grafts, orthotopic models, transgenics, and genetically engineered mouse tumor models is highly desirable.

The In Vivo Research Scientist will demonstrate the ability to design, perform, interpret and report complex in vivo preclinical cancer models, primarily with immune-therapeutics. S/he will be proficient in in vivo experimentation, proficient in the analysis and understanding of immune cells and molecules (rodent and human) as well as ex vivo analysis of immune cells by FACS, IHC and ELISA. This individual will have experience in cell/molecular biology: analysis and purification of primary immune cells from murine tissues and human blood. S/he will demonstrate the ability to analyze and present data in professional 'publication ready' format. S/he will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple in vivo and in vitro experiments simultaneously.

The In Vivo Research Scientist will demonstrate the ability to contribute on various projects outside of his/her own, and collaborate with stakeholders from all relevant functions, keep up-to-date in the literature related to his/her field. Act as an expert resource in his/her scientific field and in related disciplines, demonstrate clear and professional verbal and written communication, and have the ability to supervise and guide junior Research Associates.
