Our Oncology group is committed to a singular vision: to transform cancer to a preventable, chronic or curable disease by delivering extraordinary and accessible diagnostic and therapeutic solutions that prolong and improve patients' lives. Within Janssen, our therapeutic area is growing. In 2011, we introduced ZYTIGAŽ(abiraterone acetate), a medication used with prednisone to treat patients with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer after they had received prior treatment with docetaxel, and in 2012, we entered a co-development and co-marketing agreement with Pharmacyclics on a promising investigational compound for B-cell malignancies. Looking to the future, we are putting the most compelling science to work on meeting critical unmet medical needs of cancer patients, to fundamentally alter how cancer is understood and treated.
The Oncology Regional Business Director (RBD) sets objectives and priorities within their assigned region. The RBD is responsible for all elements of their Region, including strategic and business planning, resource deployment, operational efficiencies, talent acquisition, talent development, sales results and other key performance measures. In order to maximize overall customer value, the RBD is responsible for making strategic decisions across the franchise product portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and allocating resources within their region to optimize business results. Additionally, the RBD is responsible for leading and developing their District Managers. The RBD engages and interacts with influential customers on an as needed basis with a focus on value added discussions and establishing strong relationships. The RBD will be a conduit to home office for feedback and market knowledge.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Establishing region vision and mission, communicate and execute against; Accountability for sales and regional profitability results and other key performance measures; Conducting strategic planning and resource allocation across region based on geographic dynamics ; Collaborating with JBI Oncology District Managers and teams to develop local business tactics; Balancing customer and company needs while maintaining a customer focused mission; Supporting the activities of other customer-facing resources within the community ; Driving partnerships and accountabilities focused on strategic business needs; Identifying healthcare market trends via open communication with customers, District Managers and cross functional teams to align region strategy accordingly. To collect, interpret and develop recommendations based on customer insight; Identify and leverage leading practices; Oversee customer insight management and analytics; Interact with high level, strategic customer contacts; and Coordinate efforts with business partners to support customer needs.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have the following: a minimum of a B.A., B.S. (minimum requirement) with advanced degree preferred such as MBA or Pharm. D. Candidates must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States along with a clean driving record and must be willing to travel as needed or required. At least 7 years of biotech or pharmaceutical sales experience OR a minimum of 10 years healthcare related experience is required. At least 5 years of people management experience with a proven track record of talent acquisition, talent development and performance management experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in and lead highly collaborative teams. Prefer: Institutional and/or large account management and experience interacting with payers. Marketing/Brand or other related functional experience. Specialty Pharmaceutical Providers (SPP) and buy and bill model. Travel including required meetings and training (more than 50%). Candidates must satisfy reasonable credentialing requirements, including, but not limited to TB tests, Hepatitis B vaccine, MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Varicella (chicken pox).
