The Clinical Research Scientist is responsible for the management activities of clinical research studies sponsored by DePuy Synthes Spine, which include the design, planning, development, and execution of both pre-market and post-market clinical investigations in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. IDE, PMA).
The Clinical Research Scientist will serve on cross-functional product development teams for the evaluation of new product ideas and the need for clinical evidence to support regulatory applications and marketing strategies. In addition, this individual will manage the analysis and interpretation of the study findings in preparation for new product applications to regulatory agencies, for publication in scientific journals, and communications of outcomes/results to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Science/related Health Field is required. MS Degree preferred.
A minimum of 4 years clinical study/research experience is required. Medical Device clinical research experience is preferred.
Strong project management experience including project budget management and vendor management is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong organizational skills (e.g. able to manage multiple sub-projects and tasks simultaneously and consistently meet all associated deadlines) are required.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products is required.
Knowledge of FDA (21 CFR), GCP and other regulations is required.
Experience drafting, editing, and reviewing technical documents and clinical research protocols is required.
Ability to be part of a strong collaborative team environment is required.
