Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Health Care Compliance (HCC) Officer, Spine & Power Tools, for our Raynham, MA location.

This position will be supporting DePuy Synthes Spine in Raynham, MA, and DePuy Synthes Power Tools in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
The HCC Officer promotes compliance with HCC laws, regulations and industry standards related to the promotion and marketing of health care products and services, interactions with health care professionals and/or government officials, including, as applicable to the business activities, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption laws, off-label promotion, anti-kickback and false claims statutes, compliance with corporate integrity agreements, deferred prosecution agreements or other settlements, and oversight into compliance with government contracts and privacy.
As a member of the Management Board, the HCC Officer partners with company leadership (sales, marketing, R&D, HR, etc.) to ensure that the Health Care Compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violations of law, regulations, or company policies. They will be facilitating and supporting business unit Compliance Committees, which are responsible for ensuring implementation of an effective compliance program. This individual will manage various requirements under the Synthes, Inc. Corporate Integrity Agreement. The HCC Officer will act as a consultant, reviewer and approver as needed, for business activities that involve HCC risks. They will support the implementation of J&J's HCC & Privacy (HCC&P) policies and procedures and guidance documents. They will be providing appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on HCC to all relevant employees. They will assist with self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies. This individual will support implementation by the Company's HCC&P Operations group of a HCC testing & monitoring program. They will support preparations for compliance audits, as applicable. They will be supporting corrective actions to close gaps identified during audits, assessments, testing and monitoring. The HCC Officer will respond to complaints and reports of potential misconduct through appropriate investigations and escalations, consistent with Company policies and procedures. They will advise senior management at the HCC&P and at the business units of potential compliance risks, compliance related incidents and investigations, and trends, root causes, and recommend and implement appropriate action plans.
The HCC Officer will assist with administering policies & procedures, communications, training, and testing & monitoring programs by partnering with the Johnson & Johnson HCC Global Operations team. This individual will implement systems that collect, audit, analyze, and report compliance information. They will execute testing & monitoring plans and programs. They will be ensuring internal reporting requirements are met per enterprise requirements and schedule. The HCC Officer will be interfacing with legal counsel regarding HCC requirements and interpretation. The HCC Officer will manage one or more HCC professionals to support the Spine and Power Tools HCC programs. In accordance with operating company and HCC functional strategic imperatives, the HCC Officer will establish goals and objectives for direct reports. They will give direction, support, and periodic feedback to direct reports pursuant to Human Resources policies. They will provide technical subject matter expertise, advice and development opportunities to direct reports.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of business experience is required. A minimum of five years in health care compliance, government contracts compliance or related compliance area is required. Current status as a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP®) or Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC®) is preferred.. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance, development and/or implementation of a compliance program in accordance with the organization's risk profile is required. Practical experience in health care fraud and abuse is preferred. Hands on experience with anti-corruption and false claims laws are preferred. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health care reimbursement is preferred. Knowledge of laws and regulations concerning the marketing and promotion of pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices is preferred. Knowledge of financial or auditing practices is preferred. Knowledge of current standards and guidance concerning corporate compliance and ethics programs is required. Experience with project management in a matrixed business organization is preferred. Experience working directly with field sales is required. Ability to comprehend and interpret legal documents would be preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are required. Strong organizational skills and analytical skills are required. Broad business experience and a proven ability to influence business decisions and business partners are required. Ability to take complex business situations and develop solutions that ensure compliance is required. Proven track record in delivering results, self starter and ability to manage complexity is a must. Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business and effective negotiating skills are required. Proven success at managing and developing talent is required. This position will be located in Raynham, MA and requires up to 25% travel.
