We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator for first shift, 8 AM - 4 PM.
To facilitate the movement of finished product through the distribution system while ensuring product integrity and superior customer service.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Warehouse position consists of four different job responsibilities. Each job is listed separately. All Warehouse Team Members must obtain forktruck operator certification and follow all forktruck safety rules. All Warehouse Team Members must perform the daily OSHA required forktruck inspections.
1. LINEHAULER
a. Check planned production.
b. Verify product changeovers with Packing Utility.
c. Keep conveyor systems running and alert Packing Utility of issues.
d. Check product for date and suffix codes.
e. Notify Packing Utility when labeler or spinwrap machines are not working properly.
f. Identify product by UPC code.
g. Stack unit loads squarely by UPC throughout the warehouse.
h. Stack unit loads at the appropriate stack height.
i. Operate manual printer.
j. Load direct shipments when necessary.
k. Understand and operate all RF functions correctly.
l. Trouble shoot load integrity and handling issues.
m. Keep ULHS area and stripping stations clear of product.
n. Repair damaged loads as they are encountered and follow the warehouse sanitation policy.
o. Know how to operate the warehouse sweeper and warehouse scrubber.
2. TRUCK LOADER AND UNLOADER
a. Pre-plan each shipment to ensure weight distribution, load integrity, and that shipping instructions will be followed. Follow recommendations of Load Configurator system.
b. Understand the utilization of dock plates. Lock trailer with Dok-Loks or place chocks under trailer before loading or unloading.
c. Inspect trailer according to trailer inspection guidelines for holes in roof, nails in floor, etc.
d. Sweep trailer of all debris.
e. Load or unload trailers by weight, size, UPC, location, and trailer type completing the necessary paperwork.
f. Understand and operate all RF functions correctly.
g. When finished with trailer, return dock plate to original location, close dock door, unlock or unchock trailer, and hand completed paperwork into Warehouse Coordinator.
h. Assist linehaulers and case pick operators when necessary.
i. Follow the warehouse sanitation policy.
j. Know how to operate the warehouse sweeper and warehouse scrubber.
3. CASE PICK OPERATOR
a. Replenish storage locations with unit loads from floor storage.
b. Pre-plan case pick to optimize product location, configuration, weight, and quantity.
c. Understand and operate all RF functions correctly.
d. Case pick product according to customer specifications, layering guidelines, product location, and product quantity.
e. Hand wrap, label, placard, and pre-stage all case pick by order number in the specified stage location.
f. Hand completed paperwork into Warehouse Coordinator.
g. Maintain case pick area organization.
h. Assist linehaulers and loaders when necessary.
i. Follow the warehouse sanitation policy.
j. Know how to operate the warehouse sweeper and warehouse scrubber.
4. POWER JANITOR
a. Operate and inspect warehouse sweeper and warehouse scrubber.
b. Sweep out bins and pick up debris.
c. Mop sanitation lines.
d. Move and maintain organization of hold product.
e. Empty trash barrels and buggies.
f. Remove build-up from floors.
g. Dump salvage buggies in Processing or Packing when they are full.
h. Perform miscellaneous sanitation duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES (List job duties which may be important to the performance of the job, but are not principal job functions).
1. Know how to operate compactor.
2. Know how to operate cardboard baler.
3. Work on items in master sanitation plan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a history of good work attendance, the ability to work well with others, and the willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience (Years/Type) At least 2 years of Warehouse forktruck operation. Push/pull experience preferred.
